This is the first character I've modelled, based off the amazing artwork by Derek Laufman. One of our modules at AIE requires us to model, texture and rig a character from concept, and this is the end result.
I used a low to high workflow, modelling the base mesh in Maya to get the smooth 'chibi-style' shapes that I was after before importing it into Zbrush to get the high poly model. I baked the maps in Marmoset Toolbag, before texturing her in Substance Painter. The final renders were done in Maya, and the turntable in Marmoset.
I thoroughtly enjoyed creating Gwenpool, it was a very steep learning curve and I know I still have plenty more to learn, but it was a great process! I'll definitely keep practicing my character sculpting & modelling skills.
